Hello! I’m Lindsey and I’m so glad you’re here. 👋
I’ve had a knack for money my whole life, saving my pennies for various goals since age 10, starting my first job the moment I was legally able, loaning money to my older teenage brother (at very high interest rates! eek!).
I’m one of those people who genuinely enjoy strategizing the most efficient means to some financial end (pay off a debt, buy a house, afford a baby, etc etc). And I’ve juggled them all – from figuring out how to pay the electric bill and still buy groceries, to covering a suddenly toasted furnace while bringing on a nanny full time ($$$).
After nearly a decade of paying off approximately $40,000 in combined student loans and several car loans over the years (my least favorite!), multiple moves including two houses we currently own (one rental, one our home), several job evolutions for each of us, and taking on the expenses of two kiddos, I’ve found my systems for household financial planning paying off and our money status reaching a new point – where we have enough and we have choices. Including the choice to leave my full time professional career and start my own business online in 2021.
I also realize that financial satisfaction is not the norm- most Americans live paycheck to paycheck, something painfully highlighted by recent Government shutdowns and the COVID-19 pandemic. But I want to help you change all of this. You can be in control of your money, not the other way around.
I will teach you not to have money as an idol, to get more more more, but rather teach you to view and use money as a tool to create the life for which you are meant. I believe everyone can create something better, no matter your income, debt, or credit.
Money is a tool to me, nothing more, and not something to be super sensitive about. Also, uses of money are never inherently good or bad; they are choices. That said, money is a powerful influencer on our lives. The trick is to not get lulled into more and more money as some kind of security blanket, but to appreciate what we have while mastering the system, play the game, and play it well.
